AK Bets has appointed Joe Lee as the company’s new Head of Strategy & Performance.
AK Bets is an operator that began as an on-track bookmaker， taking bets for the first time at Killarney in July 2021.
Despite a loss of €1，172 ($1，316) on the first day of taking bets， AK Bets took over 70，000 bets in its first full year of operations and expanded into online betting at the start of 2023， launching a website and mobile app.
Lee joins the role with a long career in the gambling industry. He previously spent over six years at Paddy Power Betfair，Online Casino Games for Real Money where he held the roles of Head of Product Management， Head of Trump Betting and Head of GB & Ireland.
Lee has also held roles at Sportsbet， Matchbook Betting Exchange and One-Zero.

AK Bets is founded by Anthony Kaminskas， who worked with Lee at Paddy Power， where he held the roles of Senior Horse Racing Risk Manager and later Head of Greyhound Racing.
